from Jan 14th to 20th, triple fees will be charged

after Jan 20th, triple fees plus $200.00 will be charged

12.25 PROCEDURE FOR ENTRY OF A COMPETITOR IN MORE THAN ONE EVENT
An athlete may not take part in two (2) or more events in the same day unless their participation in the initial event has concluded prior to close registration/confirmation of any subsequent event. Athletes entering multiple events on the same day, do so at their own risk, no refunds shall be provided.

Veteran:  born 1971 or before

    Entry Cancellations:

  • Cancellation of entry due to a medical condition: full refund of EVENT fees, provided the CFF organizers are notified at least 48 hours prior to the event and a doctor's certificate is submitted.

EVENT FORMAT:
U15 - one round of pools of 6-7 (or, if necessary, 8) athletes each
- no elimination after the pools
- direct elimination tableau with no repechage
- direct elimination matches will be to 15 hits (3 periods of 3 minutes)
Cadet - one round of pools of 6-7 (or, if necessary, 8) athletes each
- no elimination after the pools
- direct elimination tableau with no repechage
- direct elimination matches will be to 15 hits (3 periods of 3 minutes)
Junior - one round of pools of 6-7 (or, if necessary, 8) athletes each

- based on the results of the preliminary round, 20 to 30% of the fencers will be eliminated

EQUIPMENT:
Clothing Standards for CFF Hosted Competitions

Under-15 events, jacket and fencing pants labelled 350N (CE level 1) or better, a sous plastron is mandatory, and a fencing mask bearing the FIE or (CE level 1) of 350N or better.

Cadet, Junior and Veteran events, jacket and fencing pants labelled 350N (CE level 1) or better, a sous plastron is mandatory, and a fencing mask bearing the FIE approval label of 800N (CE level 2) or better.

Senior events require clothing meeting the FIE standards of 800N or better and bearing the FIE approval label, including the sous plastron, and a fencing mask bearing the FIE approval label of 800N (CE level 2) or better.

The jacket must overlap the pants and socks must reach the pants as per FIE rules.

Masks must be fitted with a strap. Masks without straps will not be allowed.

As per the May 2009 Policy, in foil the new FIE foil bib regulations will be in effect. In Canada for domestic events, masks that have been retrofitted according to the FIE specifications will be allowed.
