The Canadian Fencing Federation's Board of Directors welcomes Sylvie Clément and Thomas Nguyen to its ranks. Both were elected to the board on June 12th 2011 in Saskatoon during the AGM.

Mrs. Clément is a clinical coordinator for a ministry program dealing with technical aides in communication for the youth rehabilitation center Marie-Enfant at the Ste-Justine Hospital. She has served for 8 years on the Fédération d’escrime du Québec as treasurer and as secretary. She has also been an event and competition organiser in Quebec for many years.

Mr. Nguyen wears many hats in his employment with the Canadian Forces. He is currently the head coach for the varsity fencing program at the University of Toronto. He is also a FIE certified referee in all weapons. With the Ontario Fencing Association, he has helped with the officials development program and has also held the treasurer position on the OFA board for a time.

La Fédération canadienne d’escrime et son conseil d’administration souhaitent la bienvenue à Sylvie Clément et Thomas Nguyen. Les deux ont nouvellement été élus au sein du conseil lors de l’AGA du 12 juin 2011 à Saskatoon.

Mme. Clément est la coordonatrice clinique du Programme Ministériel des aides Techniques à la communication du Centre de réadaptation Marie-Enfant de l'hôpital Ste-Justine. Elle a aussi siégée au sein du conseil d’administration de la Fédération d’escrime du Québec pendant 8 ans en tant que trésorière et secrétaire. Elle s’occupe aussi de l’organisation et gestion de plusieurs compétitions au Québec depuis plusieurs années.

M. Nguyen a des tâches très variées avec les Forces canadiennes. Il est présentement entraîneur-chef du programme d’escrime universitaire de l’Université de Toronto. Il est aussi un arbitre certifié par la FIE pour toutes les armes. Avec l’Association d’escrime de l’Ontario, il a joué un rôle de support auprès du programme de développement des arbitres et il a aussi siégé pendant quelques années comme trésorier de l’association.
