Josh started fencing when he was only six years old, taking lessons at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. A member of national teams since 1996, Josh won the Cadet World Championships in 2000 and went on to compete at the 2004 Athens Olympics. He is a six-time foil national champion (2000; 2002-2006). Josh is currently attending Concordia University and enjoys playing guitar which he finds is a nice break from his hectic schedule. His passion is definitely fencing and he intends to become a high performance fencing coach to help raise the profile of the sport in Canada.

Membre des équipes nationales depuis 1996, Josh a remporté le Championnat du monde cadet en 2000, puis il a participé aux Jeux olympiques d'Athènes en 2004. Il a remporté le titre canadien au fleuret masculin à six reprises (2000; 2002-2006).
